The 9400 series is a slim-line, surface mounted electric strike designed to accommodate rim exit devices with a 1/2" Pullman latch. All components are completely encased within its 1/2" thick stainless steel housing, so no cutting on the frame is required for installation. Simply place the electric strike on the surface of the frame, align it with the exit latchbolt, and install.
The 9400 ships with a 1/8" spacer plate to accommodate varying door gaps. The 9400 exceeds Grade-1 standards for strength and performance. Put the power of a computer in your code cutting with the CodeMax® Machine. Based on the industry standard Blitz™ Machine, the CodeMax®, introduced more than 25 years ago, is the original computerized code machine. The CodeMax® has an internal computer chip that contains Depth & Space Data (DSD) for more than 950 different lock types, plus a micrometer function in both inch and metric formats. Hold Open Arms for PDQ Door Closers fix the door in an open position. They are helpful when the entryway needs to accommodate high traffic over time or when pedestrians are carrying objects and need an unobstructed path. Applications might include store front doors, glass front entrances, interior shopping mall doors and other similar applications. The Door Saver Hold Open Arm saves the door from opening too far. An important note: hold open arms can only be used on non-fire rated doors. Thumb-turn or twist-turn hold open arms are used in parallel arm, top jamb or regular mount applications. You have to know the maximum degree of door swing and the desired hold-open angle—is it 120 degrees? 90 degrees? The hold open angle will impact the templating when the door closer is installed, so a hold-open angle needs to be determined before installation occurs in the field.

An important note: hold open arms can only be used on non-fire rated doors. Friction hold open arms are available in all three mounts—regular, top jamb and parallel arm. Friction hold open arms allow the door to be automatically placed in the hold open position until the user puts force on the door to disengage the friction hold and cause the door to close. A friction hold open arm can be used with the standard template of the door closer; it’s a simple replacement.
