ASI - 3801 Series Straight Grab Bar – Peened

Features include cover that snaps over mounting flange dimples to conceal screws and concealed mounting flange of 3-1/8″ (79 mm) O.D. diameter with 2 screw holes and 3 locking dimples; 1/8″ (3 mm) thick, type 304 stainless steel. Cover is type 304 stainless steel with a satin finish and 22 gauge, 3-3/16″ (81 mm) diameter.

Capacity

ASI grab bars are designed to meet and exceed 2010 ADA Accessibility Standards and ANSI A117.1. The fabricated product is designed to support a load in excess of 250 pounds (113.4 kg). Proper wall mounting, anchoring and an adequately sized fastener system are required to meet the specified loading requirements.

Installation

Use the grab bar as a template to locate and pre-drill the mounting holes. Install each flange with two appropriate #10 self-threading flat or oval head screws or another fastener system suitable for the wall conditions.

Appropriate anchoring and backing must be provided in accordance with applicable building requirements or the architect's plans before the wall is finished.

For 2010 ADA Accessibility Standards, the top of the grab bar should be installed between 33″ [840] minimum and 36″ [915] maximum Above Finished Floor (AFF).

ASI anchors are available separately and should be specified according to the grab bar and mounting conditions.
